Hi Georgia
Thanks for your letter.
It sounds like you relied on your granddad a lot after losing your dad and you are finding it hard without him. You were really brave to go to his funeral and say a speech.
Often when someone dies we get lots of different feelings that can be difficult to cope with like feeling really sad at different times. Sometimes it helps to talk to someone about how you are feeling like a friend or family member.
Perhaps you could think about finding a nice way to remember your granddad. Like making a memory box, a collection of things that remind you of him. Some people find that releasing a balloon with a message written on can help them feel better after somebody dies.
You might find it helpful to look at the message boards on the ChildLine website or you could try talking to a counsellor.
You might find this website useful where lots of young people have shared their feelings about someone who has died: www.rd4u.org.uk
Take care
Sam
