Hi there
Thanks very much for writing in and letters like yours are important because so many young people are affected by bullying and are not sure about how to get help.
I'd like to say first though that I really like what you said about just wanting to go to school and learn as thats what school is all about. You should also though, while you are learning be able to enjoy yourself, have some fun and make some friends.
You said that you tried telling the teachers and they aren't doing anything about it and that is very disappointing. Every school should have a policy on bullying with very clear guidelines about what should be done when someone is being bullied. You shouldn't have to ask twice, but I would suggest before you try anything else that you speak to the teachers again just to be sure that they understand how you feel. If your teachers aren't listening, ask to see your head teacher and tell her what is happening. You haven't said if your parents know about this, if you can it might be a good idea to talk to them, especially as this girl has threatened you. Your parents can ask the head teacher to take some action or even help you report these threats to the police.
I think your plan to ignore her and to write down the things she does is a good plan and sometimes that can work. Often when bullies don't get the response they want they give up. What I would like you to know is that bullying is wrong and no one has the right to make you feel this way and you don't need to put up with it. Now that you have been on the website you could maybe have a look at the Bullying message board and ask other young people how they deal in a situation like yours.
Don't forget that you can talk to someone at ChildLine either by calling 0800 1111 or through 1-2-1 chat online. You can let us know how you are getting on or if you need some more support - together we can work out what's best for you.
Take Care,
Sam
