Hi there
Thanks for your letter. It sounds like you have been in touch with ChildLine many times and that you are feeling things are now more urgent.
I am not sure whether you have had a reply before or what was said but I hear that you have been bullied for a while now and it sounds like there might be a few people doing this. I expect this is really difficult for you.
No one has the right to make you feel worried or scared whilst you are at school, it should be a place where you can be safe and happy to enjoy school life. It is also very important that you can be who you want to be, without others criticising you.
It is worrying that things feel so difficult that you now want to leave school. You say you told a teacher and it sounds as if that wasn’t very helpful. Schools have a duty to make sure that young people are safe and they should have a policy in place to say what they will do about any kind of bullying behaviour. It was right for you to tell.
Sometimes bullying can get worse before it gets better but if the teacher doesn’t know it is still happening then she might think everything is now ok. How would it be to speak to her again or another teacher, or perhaps an adult you trust?
If you would like to talk any of this through and get a quicker response, why not ring to speak to a counsellor free on 0800 1111, or you could sign up and use the online chat.
You might also like to have a look at my other replies to letters about bullying and the message boards where young people, in similar situations to you, share their thoughts and feelings. The message boards might offer some useful ideas.
Take care and good luck
Sam
