    Not Alone by InvisiblePain

    You are not alone,
    I'm here,
    I haven't always been,
    but I should have.

    Your life's turned into a cyclone,
    Every thing's spiralling out of control,
    I didn't notice at the time,
    but I should have.

    All those comments they made,
    They really hurt you, and the pain never went away.
    I ignored them, I never defended you,
    but I should have.

    So you turned to the blade.
    The pain was the only way you could cope,
    I wasn't paying attention,
    but I should have.

    I should have been there,
    I should have noticed,
    I should have defended you,
    I should have been paying attention.

    You thought I didn't care.
    That's not true, it will never be true.
    You’re my best friend;
    of course I care.

    You’re in pain,
    I know that now.
    And I'll do anything to help;
    like I should have from the beginning.

    That smile you fain,
    Now I know it's a fake.
    You’re broken;
    but not beyond repair.

    They're wrong about you.
    You’re Amazing.
    You’re Incredible.
    Please don't forget that.
    I won't let you.

    I should have been there for you,
    right from the start,
    but I wasn't.
    I just hope I can make up for that.

    I'm here now,
    Whenever you need me, I'll be there
    Because you're not alone.
    I won't let them hurt you again.

    They're so wrong about you,
    and I'll prove that, even when you can't.
    Because you are not alone,
    I'm right here next to you

    So let me help you.
