Britain’s Got Talent star
Kieran Gaffney has been answering your questions on the Music and entertainment message board. He talks about his time on the show, his thoughts about ChildLine and how he followed his dreams to perform.
Thank you to all of you who posted, we received some really great questions and a big thank you to Kieran for taking part.
In 2009 Kieran failed to make it through to the semi-final stage of Britain’s Got Talent but last year Kieran was determined to come back stronger – and was voted 3rd in the final show watched by an audience of 15.4 million.
A 14 year old drummer from Kent, Kieran also played at an event which raised £340,000 for ChildLine. He supports the work ChildLine do and has experienced what its like to receive nasty comments from people.
Last year, Kieran spoke to ChildLine about his own experiences:
‘Since being on Britain’s Got Talent, I have had a lot of name calling and sometimes it can be hurtful, upsetting and very hard to ignore. But sometimes, you need to focus on the good things in life instead of the bad.’
‘My advice to anyone who has a dream to perform is simple. Always try your best to reach it. No matter what is in the way.’
