In June, we asked you to start writing, rhyming and recording for the opportunity to star alongside grime MC James Devlin on a brand new track and appear in his video. Devlin recorded a song called, ‘Teardrops’ specifically for the competition, the only thing missing – was the final verse.

A massive thank you to everyone who entered the competition.

And the winner is...

After an overwhelming response of more than 1000 entries, it was Merki's Final Verse that won Devlin and the other judges over, ticking all the boxes of meaningful lyrics, smooth flow and a great performance.

Also big congratulations to the three runners-up: Serina, Drench and Mathmatics, who will be receiving signed Devlin merchandise.
